1960 3th Annual Denver Tri-State Auto Show Exhibition Program, Hot Rods - Sabers

Product Description

1960 Denver Tri-State Auto Show Program

- Illustrated -

"One day several years ago at Holy Family High School, four boys were sitting around talking, & as with most guys this age the talk turned to cars. This by itself, doesn't mean much, but when one of the boys said to the other three "why don't we start a hot rod club?" you might say history was made. Because this was the birth of the Sabers of Denver. Since that time young men have been in this club. The "hot rod club" has long been synonymous with black leather jackets, hopped-up jalopies & even juvenile delinquency. Nothing could be further from the truth as far as the Sabers are concerned."

"The Tri-State Auto Exhibition has become the whole life of the Sabers. At that first meeting long ago, there were eighteen boys. They picked the name of the club, set the meeting night & time, which have never been changed. If we can change the public's viewpoint toward decent & serious car clubs & create an interest in auto shows of this type, then we will have accomplished our aim."
