Antique Partial Blood Pressure Measurement Apparatus Kit w/ Canvas Cuff Wrap

Product Description

Blood Pressure Measurement

This is a partial early 1900s blood pressure mercury sphygmomanometer.

The entire kit is supposed to consist of a manual valve which is meant to control the air flow between a pump bulb and rubber bladder which is supposed to be wrapped up inside a canvas arm band. Includes a glass tube attached to a valve that contains mercury. The mercury rises and falls as the pressure from the bladder changes. It also has a wooden ruler to measure the centimeters of the mercury as it rises or falls in the glass tube.

What actually comes in this partial blood pressure kit is the wooden case, valve control mounted to a japanned black steel base, glass mercury tube (without the mercury), wooden ruler, and canvas arm band.

The valve control has cap screws that cover the three attaching points meant for the mercury tube, pump bulb, and rubber bladder.

The apparatus is in good condition. The handle is missing from the case. It has been replaced with multiple pieces of twine. This DOES NOT come with any hoses, the pump bulb, or rubber bladder. The apparatus does have some wear, scratches, and scuffs.
